Understanding Photoshop Tools
Move Tool: Shortcut is letter (V), Use to select and move object. it can also be used to duplicate object by holding down the (ALT) key and dragging the object.
Artboard Tool: Shortcut is Letter (V), Use for making many document, and can also resize document into various sizes, such as iPhone X, 7, 8 etc. To apply, make selection of the document you've created or a part of the document, then change it size through the properties tab or option bar.
Rectangular Marquee Tool: Shortcut is Letter (M), Use for making rectangular selections. Hold the (SHIFT) key to add to selection, hold the (ALT) key to subtract from selection.
Elliptical Marquee Tool: Shortcut is Letter (M), Use for making circular selections. Hold the (SHIFT) key to add to selection, hold the (ALT) key to subtract from selection.
Lassa Tool: Shortcut is Letter (L), Use for making a free-form selections.
Polygonal Lassa Tool: Shortcut is Letter (L), Use for making straight lines selections (use for cutting out image)
Magnetic Lassa Tool: Shortcut is Letter (L), Use for cutting out image, by selecting the high-contrast edges around it.
Object Selection Tool: Shortcut is Letter (W), An advance AI tool, use to select image with ease. To apply, click on the “Select Subject” on the option bar, after selection, click on the mask icon on the layer panel
Quick Selection Tool: Shortcut is Letter (W), Makes a selection based on color and texture similarity when you click or click-drag the area you want to select.
Magic Wand Tool: Shortcut is Letter (A), Selects an area with similar colors in a single click.
Crop Tool: Shortcut is Letter (C), Use to trim image or increase image size.
Perspective Crop Tool: Shortcut is Letter (C), Use to correct distortion on image
Frame Tool: Shortcut is Letter (K), Use for creating placeholder for image (mostly use in creating 2d mockups). To apply select your desired shape (Rectangle or Ellipse) from the option bar, create it, then drag your image into the placeholder you've created.
Eyedropper Tool: Shortcut is Letter (I), Use to sample colors from any object
Spot Healing Brush Tool: Shortcut is Letter (J), Removes spots or small object from your photos
Healing Brush Tool: Shortcut is Letter (J), Removes spots from your photo by selecting a part of your photo as the reference point.
Patch Tool: Shortcut is Letter (J), Use for replacing selected area with pixels from another part of the image.
Content-Aware Move Tool: Shortcut is Letter (J), Is use for moving selected object from one part of the image to another and automatically filling the original position. it can also be used to duplicate selected object by changing it "Move" option to “Extend”
Red Eye Tool: Shortcut is Letter (J), Use for Darkening red eye effect caused by camera.
Brush Tool: Shortcut is Letter (B), Use to creates soft or hard strokes of color.
